A trending photo of an elderly man marrying a much younger woman has stirred outrage on social media.
The images show the couple legally and traditionally tying the knot. Initially, many assumed they were from the Hausa ethnic group, but a closer look revealed they are Yoruba. The wedding has since sparked widespread debate online.
We did not get to the state where the issue happened exactly, but it’s Yoruba land, and people are furious. That is why the family of the small girl allowed her to marry such an elderly man.
